Call for Proposals: CHI 2008
Although workshop results will benefit practitioners inexperienced
with Agile UCD, attendees should have experience in design-focused UX practices
(as opposed to evaluation-focused practices), and experience on an Agile
project.
Participants’ Expression of Interest should be no longer than 4 pages, and should include:
-
A description of the experience and background of
their UX teams or consulting practice.
-
For their most recent Agile project, a
description of the Agile team, the product the team was creating, and how UX practitioners
worked with the team.
-
Their current level of satisfaction with their
Agile UCD process, and their pre-Agile UCD process.
-
A description of some UCD activities that they
use on Agile projects. Which worked well? Which were less successful? Why?
-
Problems they have doing Agile UCD.
-
Their expectations for the session. If they
could get one thing from attending, what would that be?
A summary of these submissions will be presented at the workshop.
Workshop organizers will contact accepted participants
before the workshop, and may ask some participants to present at the session. A
discussion group will be established before the conference so that participants
can set the agenda.
Participants will be selected based on these criteria, as
interpreted through reading their Expressions of Interest:
-
The uniqueness of the applicant’s proposed
contributions to the session.
-
Their ability to provide breadth or depth of
experience (either through their Agile experience, or a particular user
experience perspective).
- A good match between the intent for the session and their stated goal for the session.
